Cryengine-Powered ARPG Umbra Now On Early Access, With A Name Change

Last year I extensively covered a gorgeous looking action RPG by the name of Umbra. After successful greenlight and Kickstarter campaigns, however, things when quiet with SolarFall studios and not much was heard.

Today that ends, with news that the game has finally made it to Steam Early Access under the name Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. Oddly enough, SolarFall has changed their name as well, now going as Wolcen Studio. Obviously, they have a lot of faith in their game.

The finished game will include options for player housing, capturing of enemies, destructible environments, gamepad options, and community mod support. Though the current build is PC-only, the game will have a Linux version once it’s out of Early Access.
