Its been over a month since the last Crowdfunding Recap, so its time to check out some more promising games on Kickstarter.
Even if you don’t like crowdfunding, be sure to keep some of these games in mind when they finally get their full release.
Here’s 5 Kickstarter campaigns that might be worth your attention:
Roguebook
Developer: Abrakam
Platforms: Windows PC
Funding Goal: $67,382 (70% funded)
End Date: July 7th
Roguebook is an upcoming deckbuilding roguelike set in Abrakam’s world of Faeria. While the game takes some obvious inspiration from Slay the Spire, Roguebook has a few interesting mechanics that make it look unique, the most obvious of which is that you control two characters. This adds a positioning mechanic to the game, as the character in front is more likely to be attacked, and your characters swap positions whenever you use cards from their deck. You’ll also be able to upgrade your cards by slotting gems into them that grant secondary effects.
Roguebook is targeting a 2020 Early Access release via Steam, but the alpha is already playable, and anyone who backs the game will get access to it within 24 hours of pledging. The minimum pledge required to get a copy is $26.
Mysteria ~Occult Shadows~
Developer: U-Secret Studio
Platforms: Windows PC
Funding Goal: $6,382 (62% funded)
End Date: July 30th
Mysteria ~Occult Shadows~ is a 3D action game being developed by a very small team of game development students in Hong Kong. It started life as a free demo, but they’d like to expand it into a full game with around six to eight hours of content. The game is set in Surnas, a fairytale world populated by cute kemomimi girls that fight evil creatures with their gigantic weapons.
Mysteria ~Occult Shadows~ is targeting a late 2019 release for its Early Access version. You can get a copy for as little as $10.
Small Saga
Developer: Jeremy Noghani
Platforms: Windows PC, Mac
Funding Goal: $41,454 (42% funded)
End Date: July 4th
Small Saga is a party-based RPG set in London from the perspective of anthropomorphic rodents that live in a medieval kingdom parallel to our own modern society. The game centers around Verm, a mouse that had his tail stolen by the Yellow God of Death. Now he’s on a quest for vengeance, and along the way he’ll befriend, and fight, other anthropomorphic animals of all shapes, sizes, and species. You can find a link to a demo on the Kickstarter page.
Small Saga is on track to release in the Summer of 2021. Pledges start at $13 for a basic digital copy of the game.

The ridiculously named After I met that catgirl, my questlist got too long! is a mix of retro-inspired RPG and yuri Visual Novel. You play as Vera, a womanizing sorceress that joins forces with a mysterious catgirl to form a guild of adventurers. Together, they’ll accept quests, compete against rival guilds, fight monsters, and accumulate a harem of other waifus for Vera to romance. There’s also a free demo available.
After I met that catgirl, my questlist got too long! is set to release early next year. You can get a copy for as little as $11, but then you’d be missing out on the dakimakura pledge levels.
Witches Brew

Finally, we come to Witches Brew, the next game by the developers of Negligee. Witches Brew is a Visual Novel with some RPG and crafting elements where you play as Selena, a witch that has just moved into a small and quiet town. You’ll use your magic to brew potions, scry, perform tarot readings, and craft other rituals to help the residents of the village.
Witches Brew is coming to Steam Early Access sometime next year. You can pledge $25 to get a copy, and like the previous game, there are options for getting a dakimakura of your favorite waifu.
