Crimson Desert Game Overview and Trailer Commentary Trailers

Crimson Desert

Pearl Abyss have released new gameplay and developer commentary for their upcoming action MMORPG Crimson Desert.

As previously reported, the game is a prequel; taking place before the events of Pearl Abyss’ other MMO Black Desert. Pearl Abyss have now released two new trailers; both featuring English subtitles. The first is a game overview, with the game being described by lead developers Daeil Kim (Executive Producer), HwanKyoung Jung (Producer), SeongWoo Lee (Producer), and Hyoseok Chae (Lead Combat Designer).

Therein, they describe how the game uses free-for-all combat among mysteries and adventure as its most important features. The combat has players able to co-ordinate their attacks through different combinations against monsters. A.I. was also a talking point, such as disarmed enemies choosing to fight bare-handed or trying to pick up any weapon it can based on what is happening.

The game’s story is set in a world where humans and non-humans co-exist, and the story of each of Macduff’s mercenaries. As players learn more about the world, it can be used to acquire new items and skills.

The next was trailer commentary trailer. This features similar comments by the above developers, but discusses the recent debut gameplay trailer, along with further insights about the game and how the trailer came together.
