Crash Team Rumble gets release date in June, closed beta coming in April

Publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob have announced a release date for Crash Team Rumble.

Their new four-on-four online brawler is launching (via YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh) on June 20th across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.


A closed beta is planned for April 20th through April 25th that has five playable heroes: Crash Bandicoot, Coco Bandicoot, Dingodile, Tawna, and Neo Cortex.

Everyone’s favorite marsupial is returning in an all-new way to throw down in Crash Team Rumble.

The upcoming team-based, 4v4, competitive multiplayer experience is in development by Toys for Bob™, the studio behind the acclaimed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. This new adventure sees the return of Crash and the heroes and villains of the Crash universe in an all-out Wumpa battle.

A Vibrant and Zany Competitive Showdown in the Pursuit of Fruit

Play as Crash, Dingodile, and a host of other heroes and villains from the Crash universe and strategically leverage each character’s distinct personality and playstyle. Rumbles will take place across wild and varied arenas in 4v4, team-based, online multiplayer action. Players slide, smash, bump, and bash their way to victory against the other teams to battle it out to drop off the most Wumpa fruit in their team’s bank.

Featuring cross-platform play, Crash Team Rumble will feature fur-ocious strategic gameplay elements that are sure to turn the tide of the match in hilarious ways. There’s something here for everyone, from a casual pick-up-and-play experience to leveraging the most out of each hero’s unique abilities.
