Reportedly Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has reached a major milestone in sales since it’s launch as the game has sold over 5 million copies across its many platforms.
This is not an official announcement by publisher Activision Blizzard nor developer Toys for Bob, but rather a claim by design director Toby Schadt on his LinkedIn profile.
Considering the numbers, if true, it’s a surprise there’s been no official announcement for such a milestone. Other games have celebrated sales that were lower in quantity, so one would think this warrants a mention at least.
Regardless, this is good for Toys for Bob, whose Spyro trilogy has also topped 10 million in sales. Though what this means for the franchises they’ve worked on is up for debate, as the developer is no longer tied with Activision Blizzard.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC (via Battle.net and later Steam). You can check out our review of the game here. We recommend it!
