Cover Corp, the company behind the virtual idol group Hololive has announced their latest character “IRyS”.
IRyS is the latest addition to Cover Corps lineup of idols, unlike the other YouTubers, IRyS is explicitly described as a “VSinger” rather than “VTuber” or “Virtual YouTuber”. This could be a new direction for Cover Corp as they take their idol group in a more conventional direction.
A half-demon, half-angel also known as a “Nephilim.”
This current era, riddled with despair and desperation, has brought upon her second awakening.
She has arrived to deliver hope, with her feelings put into her lyrics and songs, and determination in her voice.
After her announcement her Twitter account was (and still is at the time of publishing) restricted. This was likely due to her amassing over thirty thousand followers in less than 15 minutes.

It’s unknown at the time of publishing just how many (if any) co-stars IRyS will have as a VSinger, but it’s known that she’s a part of “Project: HOPE”, indicating a larger movement within Cover Corp and Hololive.
