Counterspy Fights Communism and Gets a Release Date

The Cold War is getting hotter, which is not a good thing. In a war of moves, geo-political landscapes, snake eaters, diplomatic incidents, lies the threat of global thermonuclear war.

To prevent humankinds’ extinction, a group of elite spies have been formed to prevent maniacle military plans from going forward. These are the spies of C.O.U.N.T.E.R. – welcome to Counterspy from Dynamighty.

Counterspy introduces you to an elite agent fighting a secret war to prevent the communists from going through with a crazy plan to destroy the moon with nuclear missiles.  It may not sound like a tactical option at first, but all those large fragments falling to Earth along with a flux in gravity would mean certain doom for everyone!

Your job is to stop it! David Nottingham, the Lead Designer at Dynamighty Studios, describes the game as an action/stealth sidescroller game. In it, players will encounter 2D, 2.5D, and 3D elements. Players will need to infiltrate bases, secure intelligence, eliminate personnel, and even win some firefights.

According to the launch trailer, (as seen above) the game has a very unique art style, inspired by 1960’s science fiction and Ian Fleming’s 007, mixed with an art-deco level of colors.  Plus, that music gives you al the vibes of being a top-secret agent.  The music is scored by Jesse Harlin.

The game is slated for release on all PlayStation platforms on August 19th.
