According to a rumor from the Official Xbox Magazine UK, it seems Capcom is working on a reboot of Dino Crisis, and that it’s set to be revealed later this year.
This rumor completely contradicts a statement made earlier by the producer from Resident Evil: revelations, Masachika Kawata. He had this to say regarding a reboot of Dino Crisis or Onimusha in an interview with Videogamer:
“Capcom has obviously never shied away from bringing back our older IPs to new generations, but I do think it’s more important for us to focus on creating new IP as we move forward.”
The dinosaur themed survival horror series first debuted on the original Playstation back in 1999. It garnered two sequels, Dino Crisis 2 being the PS2 first person shooter spinoff and Dino Crisis 3 launching on the Xbox back in 2003.
