Corpse Party Blood Covered: Repeated Fear Heads to PS4 and Switch in Japan, February 18

Corpse Party Blood Covered: Repeated Fear

Developer 5pb have announced the Japanese Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 release date for Corpse Party Blood Covered: Repeated Fear.

As previously reported, the original Corpse Party released in 1996, with an enhanced remake in 2006 called Corpse Party: Blood Covered. Another enhanced remake called Corpse Party Blood Covered: Repeated Fear was released again across 2011 to 2016 for PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Nintendo 3DS.

This full version will launch February 18th for Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 in Japan. A western release was not confirmed at this time,

This new version of the game features Satomi Akesaka and Mika Okamoto voicing new characters in an extra chapter, new voice acting for an extra chapter that was previously unvoiced in the Nintendo 3DS release, and “the game system is also being rebuilt for the new hardware” (Translation: Google Translate).

The story of Corpse Party takes place at Kisaragi Academy. As the students tell ghost stories during their culture festival and they perform a ritual, an earthquake strikes the school. They then awaken to find themselves in a new school; abandoned, haunted, and littered with corpses of those tapped there before.

Delving into a supernatural mystery, players must explore the school and solve puzzles, all while avoid enemies and the numerous Wrong Endings. Players can also unlock Extra Chapters, expanding on the game’s story by showing events form different character’s perspectives, and expanding upon other characters.
