Ishin no Arashi

Publisher Hamster Corporation has announced the next Console Archives release is Ishin no Arashi, the strategy sim from 1988 by Koei.

Console Archives Ishin no Arashi is launching tonight/tomorrow on April 16th for both Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, worldwide.

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

1867: The fall of the Edo Shogunate. In the dawning of a new era, heroes rise.

“Ishin no Arashi” was released by KOEI in 1990 for an 8-bit home console.

Step into the role of a Bakumatsu-era patriot in this historical simulation game, where you engage in fierce debates with feudal lords and key figures across Japan to win them over to your ideology and lead the nation toward a new dawn.

Experience the thrill of moving history not just with swordsmanship, but through intellect and passion! Prevail in the clash of opposing ideals and survive the chaotic upheaval of the shogunate’s final days!

Hamster Corporation’s Console Archives series of re-releases faithfully reproduces classic console games for modern platforms.
