Coco Bandicoot is Playable in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Activision has announced that Coco Bandicoot is playable in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Coco will be playable in all three of the classic games within the series for the first time, which includes: Crash Banidcoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.

Here’s a rundown on how Coco gets involved with the remaster:

In the remastered Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Coco has decided to hack into the Time Twister to travel back in time to help Crash in his previous adventures. Now as a fully playable (and a bit sassy) character across all three games, fans can switch between playing as Crash or Coco. Both characters have an N. Sane set of special attacks – each with their own style! Where Crash body slams enemies, Coco takes them out with the impact of a double leg drop! Fans will love to see all her new moves and animations, including idle moves like dancing with Crash.

If you’re at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Coco will be playable at the “N. Sane Crash Expreience” in the lobby within the South Hall.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is launching for PlayStation 4 on June 30th.

She was always playable in 3, but adding her in 1&2 is a nice bonus.

See, I knew you could play as her at some point, I just couldn’t remember which game.

This might surprise you, but down syndrome is hereditary.

Not bad, I love the nice addition of being able to play as Coco. Only concern I have with is…. how goofy they made her. I always saw her as the serious, dorky sister and never made any silly faces. A bit of a turn off but eh, Im sure I’ll get use to it and laugh. Love how she’s always caring her laptop especially when she’s being chased by a boulder.

What the fuck is going on at 12 seconds in? What was that about?

Does it affect the story? I mean naughty dog has always been known for their deep stories verging on the point of being movies.

Before anyone says it I know naughty dog didn’t do the remaster.

Nice, now all I can hope is that they add Stormy Ascent to Crash 1 and it’s officially awesome.

Going from spinning to pirouette is a nice touch. If this was another series I would feel this would be play as token girl move.

This is good, normally this could’ve been a 3:99$ DLC per game, 6:99$ for pack deal.

Oh shit, nice move! This remake is everything I’ve been hoping for. It’s just the older games but with a ton of sensible little improvements (playable Coco, time trials for Crash 1 and 2 levels, gems for completing levels in quick times). This is to Crash Bandicoot what Resident Evil REmake was to RE1.

The only things I don’t like are some of the designs — Crash especially — and the voice acting. I miss the old Cortex voice.

I don’t remember her being playable in every level, only select ones which made it stand out. Has been many years though. Here we can play her in all three games though. Looking forward to this a lot, I really hope it doesn’t suck.

Interesting, didn’t know about that. Always fun to find out about those kinds of things.

So for someone who has no nostalgia whatsoever for these games (the most I’ve played are the demos in stores back in the day), would this collection be worth it to get? Like, would the gameplay and such hold up?

Dat typo on Bandicoot though in the second sentence

Absolutely. The design might be a bit dated in some ways, but the originals are great. Played the demo and it’s just like I remember. A bit more challenging than a lot of newer platformers maybe, but still plenty of fun with a great design.

Yeah, seems a bit too silly. She’s just girl Crash now instead of the more serious one putting up with his antics. It’ll still be fun to play the game as her though.
