Sega and Microsoft have announced closed beta applications for the western release of Phantasy Star Online 2 on Xbox One are now available.

The new beta will be available via the Xbox Insider Program. If you’re looking to apply, head on over to the Xbox Insider Hub and install it to your Xbox One console or Windows 10 PC. Then, select “Insider Content” from the dashboard, and then “Phantasy Star Online 2” under games, and finally “Join” to register. This beta is limited to USA and Canadian users.

Further details like the closed beta start date will be announced later.

The western release for Phantasy Star Online 2 has been planned for quite a long time – with publisher Sega quietly dropping the project long after it was announced. Microsoft’s surprise announcement during this year’s E3 definitely came out of left field.
