Following the announcement that Japan is getting classic Pokemon 2DS hardware bundles on February 27th, Nintendo has announced that both North America and Europe are getting those same bundles, as well as Nintendo 3DS version bundles.
The Red, Blue, and Yellow 2DS and 3DS bundles will feature box art reminiscent of the original Pokemon Red Version and Pokemon Blue Version releases, as well as the Pokemon 20th anniversary logo, and they’ll all be releasing on the same day as Japan – February 27th (Editor’s Note: The Green bundle is Japan only, much like the original version of Pokemon Green).
While all of the hardware bundles come pre-loaded with a copy of the original game and Home Menu theme, Europeans who purchase the 2DS version will get a sheet of 15 stickers to customize their hardware.
Nintendo also confirmed plans to distribute various mythical Pokemon to Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby, and/or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire throughout this year.
Finally, The Pokemon Company is going to show off a TV advertisement during this year’s Super Bowl, on February 7th. You can get an idea of what it will include by the above video, which encourages Pokemon Trainers to continue training!
