Japanese developer Beep has announced (via Famitsu) a reboot for the classic shoot ’em up Cotton.

The tentatively titled Cotton Reboot is planned for a release across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. A release window wasn’t confirmed.

Cotton Reboot is based on the X68000 version of the game, which they originally updated for the 1991 arcade release. The new version includes an “Arrange Mode”, as well as the original version of the game.

Lastly, Beep is also planning to re-release the original X68000 version of Cotton, but on a physical floppy disk, sometime this summer.
