Classic Games Perform Better on the NES Mini Compared to Virtual Console

Nintendo is readying their plug-and-play Classic Mini NES console for next month, however, die-hard fans have been wondering just how the console performs in comparison to both its modern and classic counterparts.

A new preview via GameXplain has shown off a bevy of games pre-installed on the hardware, including Kirby’s Adventure (my favorite), Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3.

The big takeaway here is the direct comparison to the same games on the Virtual Console:

The Mini NES is clearer, sharper, and even seems to have better audio output compared to the Wii U Virtual Console. Naturally, this makes sense as the former is running on hardware, with the latter being emulated.

The Nintendo Classic Mini NES will launch on November 11th, for 60$.
