Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has no DLC planned, focus is on improving main game

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Sandfall Interactive have confirmed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 currently has no DLC planned.

Just after the acclaimed RPG launched, an Instagram exchange between lead writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen and a fan made the rounds, leading to speculation the team was already looking at post-launch downloadable content.

The exchange had Svedberg-Yen commenting on the widespread success and acclaim the got nearly instantly upon release, and said that if fans really want DLC, based on the game’s overnight success, the chances of DLC being made are good.

Now, a follow-up interview looking at the development of the game has game director Guillaume Broche and lead programmer Tom Guillermin confirming they currently have no plans for DLC, as they want to focus on improving the main game.

While details are scant, one improvement that the team has already implemented reduced the absurd effectiveness of character Maelle’s Stendahl spell, which players were using to melt bosses with ease.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available across PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Xbox Game Pass. Get our review!
