We’ve learned (via Sokuho@Hokanko) that Nippon Ichi Software’s recently teased retro game is actually a new ClaDun title.

The new game was confirmed in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation. Titled simply ClaDun Sengoku, the game is in development for PS Vita, and will release on May 26th in Japan via retail and digital stores. First-run copies of the game come with a “Real & Retro” soundtrack.

The game features seven jobs classes including: merchant, corrupted priest, sorcerer, samurai, aristocrat, swordsman, and necromancer. The characters can utilize various weapons like swords, spears, bows, and more. You can even destroy walls with certain weapons.

Yoshihiko Toda is directing ClaDun Sengoku, and the game is set in the Warring States period of Japan. You’ll be thrust into the past of Arcanus Cella, where you can create your own custom character, step onto magic circles, and venture into randomized dungeons.
