Civilization VI is Still Getting Mods, Multiplayer Teams, Steam Workshop Support

While Sid Meier’s Civilization VI has been available for some months now, the game has yet to receive much demanded features like official mod support, as well as Steam Workshop integration.

Now, Firaxis has confirmed those features are still on their way, however they’re just not ready yet. In a recent multiplayer livestream (via Reddit) for the game, Firaxis’s Pete Murray confirmed the features are still coming. He also confirmed multiplayer teams are coming in a future update.

“The team is working on those, and when we have more information to share with you, we will be sure to do so,” Murray said in the stream.

It’s worth mentioning official mod support hasn’t stopped fans from creating mods anyway. The game’s latest update added the versatile Polish civilization, as well as the vikings campaign, and more.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is currently available for PC. In case you missed it, you can find my thorough written / video review of the game here (I highly recommend it!).
