CI Games has announced Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has sold over one million copies.
That new milestone includes worldwide sales across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One – since the game’s launch in April of last year.
Despite the studio noting they “managed to come out relatively successful with this title” amidst its sort of mixed reviews, they also confirmed they’ve “significantly downsized” their staff down to 30 people. The decision was made so they can focus on its unnamed tactical shooter.
As for Lords of the Fallen 2, the company said their talking to a number of third party studios in regards to that game’s development. While details pertaining to whether or not this game will continue to be produced, they said the fantasy RPG is a “very important franchise in our portfolio.”
“The decision to downsize the studio was the toughest decision I have taken over the past years—it is never easy to let go of friends and colleagues with whom we’ve worked for years-however I truly believe that it was the best way to move forward. Quality is not only extremely important to our upcoming tactical shooter, but it is important to every game we will bring to the market,” said CI Games’ CEO, Marek Tyminski.
