Japanese airport Chubu Centrair International Airport had their Twitter account suspended for being underage.
The airport confirmed the outage of service with their account being temporarily suspended, a suspension that came after they reset the birthday on the account as a joke.
After changing the birthdate on the account, the admins over the Twitter account for the Chubu Centrair International Airport were met with an odd message alerting them that their account was too young to be on the website.
Twitter’s terms of service state that account owners have to be at least 13 years old to even have an account. (Which is odd since Twitter is a trash fire filled with things that kids should never see,but that’s beside the point and just my opinion.)
The account owners and the followers of said Twitter got a good laugh out of it but it still was quite a shock to find out their account was too young to be online.
The automatic algorithms are only as perfect as the coders who design them. Humans are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination so situations like this are not surprising.
