Chocobo GP kills post-launch support after season 5 update

Chocobo GP

Square Enix has announced they’re killing post-launch support for Chocobo GP after its latest batch of content released.

The Final Fantasy-themed racing game just received its big 1.4.0 update, which adds the game’s new Season 5 content. This will be the last batch of new content for the game, and it won’t receive large content updates from now on.

Season 5 is also the last season where prize pass levels are used in the Chocobo GP mode, once this season ends rankings will continue but without prize pass levels. Chocobo GP mode will naturally remain playable.

Lastly, mythril sales on the eShop have been cut off already, though any currency still in your player account can be used in the mythril shop until January 6th, 2023 – which is when the shop will be removed from the game.

Chocobo GP has been available for Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our full review for the game here.
