A Chinese cosplayer has attracted attention for dressing up as Tetsuya Yamagami, the man who murdered former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Despite some finding such a cosplay to be distasteful, the Twitter user claimed that the cosplayer seemed rather popular at the event.

Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated in 2022 while giving a speech in Nara, the killer used a firearm he created himself.
