Check Out the Glorious Opening Movie for Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

Nippon Ichi Software has published the opening cinematic for Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance.

Featured above, you can view the movie in all its glory. The music is the game’s theme song, a track dubbed “Kill Real” by Mamoru Miyano, who also does the voice for protagonist Killia.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 on March 26th in Japan and sometime this fall in North America and Europe.

    I just wanted to say this REALLY blew me away. I know the Disgaea games are typically pretty awesome, but this opening cinematic seemed a bit too epic? I hate using the word epic but…. IDK, it’s awesome IMO.

    I only played 1 and 2 the tone seems a lot less light-hearted

    I think they intended to make it less light-hearted to appeal to the masses, though I doubt it would be less light-hearted to the point that it becomes edgy.
