Renegade Kid previously confirmed Xeodrifter for the 3DS, but now they’ve given us a look at the game with its debut trailer.

While the game may not be super flashy, it looks pretty solid. It appears to be a classic 2d side scrolling shooter with the added mechanic of hopping between the foreground and the background to maneuver and continue through the game. The throwback art and 8bit styled music fit great together, and the gameplay looks polished.

This may be a game to at least keep tabs on as it develops.
