Namco Bandai has revealed a new batch of screenshots for Tales of Zestiria that show off the recently revealed Edna, Slay and Alicia’s battle styles, as well as the sacred mountain of Leifolk, and two brand new elements.

A description was given for impurity, a maleficent force of energy that is innately within the hearts of humankind, just like jealousy, hate, and malice. While this is totally normal, if a person builds up too much of these bad emotions, a hyoma will appear.

Hyoma are the physical manifestation of people or even plants and animals that are completely consumed by a strong, negative, build up of emotions.Those who are gifted with the Reinoryoku (a power to sense spirits) can see their true, hidden form, although normal people can only see them in their twisted, transformed form.

As mentioned before, the story in Tales of Zestiria takes place within the “age of calamity,” a time when the world is full of impurity and sickness, and these hyoma monsters are starting to appear in not just remote, uninhabited areas, but on the roads and streets within cities and towns now as well.
