Nicalis and designer Edmund McMillen have been tirelessly working on the revamped version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, which is a highly anticipated remake of the 2011 original flash game.
A new update for the game appeared on its official website, which featured the above bit of gameplay. McMillen confirmed the new round worm enemies, alongside the video, which he claimed is “basically what you will be getting on release.” He also made a point with the team at Nicalis still needing time to implement various SFX and some visual tweaks. Despite this, McMillen teased that Rebirth might not be far off:
“The closer we get to release the less I want to spoil.”
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is coming sometime later this year across PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Linux, Mac and Windows PC through Steam.
