Charade Maniacs is getting a western release

Charade Maniacs

Publisher Idea Factory International has announced a western release for Charade Maniacs, a new otome visual novel.

The new Idea Factory-developed otome game is coming west sometime this summer on Switch, both digitally and at retail. The western release will only have Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The retail versions come in both a standard version and a swanky limited edition, the latter of which has yet to confirm its contents. Pre-orders are live over on the Idea Factory strore, though.

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

A mysterious figure abducts Hiyori Sena, transporting her to a strange world with nine other abductees and welcomes them to a world called Arcadia.

Everyone must act out “dramas” for a chance to escape, all whilst avoiding the trappings of a traitor.

Conduct your own investigations to search for clues—and find romance along the way!

From the writer of Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, Uta Amamiya, and the illustrator of Norn9, Teita. Whose hand will she take at the end?
