Developer Extremely OK Games has announced the release date for the final content planned for Celeste.

The game’s final and ninth chapter, “Farewell,” will launch on September 9th as a free update on all platforms – the Xbox One version may get the content later.

Chapter 9 includes over 100 new levels (bringing the total number of levels to over 800), over 40 minutes of new music from Lena Rain, and more.

Lastly, Celeste creator Matt Thorson recently formed Extremely OK Games, which is now the company managing Celeste, who has retired the name Matt Makes Games (the original developer name. They’re working on their next game, code-named EXOK1, which is in the “very exploratory phase of development.” You can visit the studio’s official website here.

Celeste has been available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.
