So, about that Chaos Chronicles comeback…a new development has occurred. Well, maybe not a big one to some folks, but before you yell “Why did you post news about a logo?”, know that it shocked me enough to post an update here while our EIC is asleep. Check this screencap out:
When the internet discovered this re-awakened community hub this past Thursday, the game still bore the same ugly default “blank” logo all invalid Steam games have. That is not the case anymore, with a new logo being uploaded bearing the game’s new name.
New developer or not, I’m extremely excited to see Chaos Chronicles becoming a reality.

October 11, 2014 at 1:15 amIt’s definitely a new developer, the former dev of CC at the Codex denies any sort of revival. http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/chaos-chronicles-resurrected-resurfaces-on-steam-as-century-of-chaos.94643/
Still…very interesting. I hope they’re not just trying to revive the original ARPG plan. *shivers*

October 11, 2014 at 1:44 amIf they scrap the turn based combat, they lost a sale from me. The whole “This is a D&D rules turn based game” is what got me on board. Take that away and I’ll just sit here and wait for Numenera.

October 11, 2014 at 8:20 amYou can also play Knights of The Chalice if you’re interested in that sort of thing.
But yeah, still not much hope for CC from me.

October 11, 2014 at 10:24 amSeeing how the game was 90% complete and the fact that turn based games are getting their stride back, i don’t think they will change the combat system.
I just hope that they don’t do a quick & dirty job to make an easy buck without finishing the game properly.

October 12, 2014 at 12:13 pmI’ve always wanted that, but he charges online over his site and in UK pounds. My credit card blocks overseas purchases and anything in non-US funds unless I go through a very long process to allow for it (Which last time I did it, took me 2 months to set up)
So sadly, I can’t get Knights of the Chalice. I want it though. I LOVED the demo.

October 15, 2014 at 11:31 amAhhh, I see. Shame, that.
I remember there were talks of the game being put on GoG, but the dev declined because of some silly reason.
Oh well.
