Finish Line Games have announced that they’re developing a complete remake of the original Cel Damage that launched back in 2001. The original game was developed by Pseudo Interactive and published by EA, while the remake is in development for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and Playstation Vita.
While we only have a logo to go off for now, the game is already set for a release sometime this Spring. The game is described as a “fast-paced vehicle combat game,” and it has a really crazy cel-shaded art style. The story revolves around a popular TV show involving a demolition derby.
Cel Damage will be a cross-buy game, meaning if you buy it on one platform, you’ll get it free across the other two Playstation platforms. The game will also have split-screen four-person multiplayer on both the Playstation 3 and the Playstation 4.
The original game had ten playable characters, now the remake has only six at launch: Violet, Fowl Mouth, Flemming, Dominique Trix, B.T. Bruno, and Sinder. Finish Line is promising that Cel Damage HD will have 13 maps, 10 playable cars, and over 30 weapon types.
