While CD Projekt RED’s main team is working on Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish powerhouse has two other teams working on – two more Cyberpunk games.
CD Projekt President, Adam Kiciński issued a statement that there are three separate Cyberpunk projects in the works – news via Polish outlet Bankier.pl, which reports on business and financial news for the nation.
The second team is working on a multiplayer component of some kind, although it remains to be seen if this will be included in Cyberpunk 2077, or released as a standalone thing like Fallout 76 was to Fallout 4.
CD Projekt Vice President Piotr Nielubowicz also noted their “next big project” is also set in the Cyberpunk universe, and that they’re “already working on it and treating it as a really big and innovative project.”
Lastly, Kiciński noted we’ll probably get our first look at the next big mainline game at the beginning of 2020, adding “A strong dose should be expected at the beginning of next year.”
