Netflix has announced that the fourth season of Castlevania is coming soon.

The news comes via the official NX Twitter account [1, 2], Netflix’ “home of all things geek.” Other details are scant at this time.

While not confirmed, it is likely the Japanese Director Ryoichi Uchikoshi, English Director Sam Deats, and the animation studios (Frederator Studios, Powerhouse Animation Studios, and Shankar Animation) will return. The same may also be true for the cast.

In case you missed it, we recently reported on Niche Gamer about a rumor; regarding Sony Interactive Entertainment buying the IP rights of Castlevania from Konami, along with Metal Gear and Silent Hill.

The success of the Castlevania animated series made us skeptical about this, considering the surge of interest the live-action The Witcher series gave the video game franchise (and original books). Konami would most likely wish to keep the IP rights, even if it is only for Castlevania themed pachinko machines.
