The Castlevania Season 3 Trailer released on Netflix’s official Youtube channel, showing a little preview of the events to come. The release date was also confirmed, marking March 5 for the show’s return.

The description of the video simply reads as follows:

Castlevania returns for a season full of psychedelic horror. Raise hell March 5 – only on Netflix. […] Belmont and Sypha settle into a village with sinister secrets, Alucard mentors a pair of admirers, and Isaac embarks on a quest to locate Hector.

We only had a vague confirmation to go on until now, but it seems fans won’t have to wait very long now for the next season. The last episode before the break was quite a cliffhanger, which some are speculating will lead to season 3 being even longer than the second. Season 1 of Castlevania was a paltry four episodes long, with the second season doubling that with an episode count of eight.

The Castlevania series focuses on the story of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, and stars Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and fan-favorite Alucard. Trevor wields the aptly-named Vampire Killer, and is joined by other characters from the game series throughout, such as Carmilla and Hector.

In the trailer for season 3, plenty more monster designs are shown off, as well as the returning cast performing all sorts of spectacular feats. The animation, especially in the last segment of the video, is pretty well-done, and the art direction looks like it’s keeping in line with the previous seasons as well.
