Publisher Aiming and Team Caravan have announced they’re shutting down Caravan Stories on Nintendo Switch this summer.
Their fantasy anime-themed MMORPG is shutting down on June 13th at 11 AM Japan time, a few years after its debut on the hybrid console. The Switch version was only available in Japan.
Both companies noted that they have been trying to provide a good experience for users, they’ve agreed it has become increasingly difficult to continue that moving forward.
The Switch version of Caravan Stories shutting down won’t affect the original iOS, Android, and PC releases nor the PlayStation 4 release – the latter of which is available worldwide (the former are only available in Japan and Asia).
Here’s the word from Team Caravan:
Although we have worked hard to provide better service to our customers, we have come to the conclusion that it will be difficult to continue providing services that will satisfy our customers, and have decided to terminate the service.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your continued patronage and ask for your understanding in discontinuing the service.
