Car Park Capital turns parking lots into a hilariously evil tycoon game

Car Park Capital

If you’ve ever looked at an endless sea of parking lots and thought “someone definitely profits from this”, then Car Park Capital already understands its audience.

Developed by solo creator Hilkojj Interactive and backed by newly confirmed publisher MicroProse, this upcoming satirical tycoon sim turns urban sprawl and car dependency into the entire joke.

You take control of a “Big Auto” operative whose mission is to transform peaceful towns into massive car-dependent parking empires packed with concrete, traffic, and profit. The more citizens rely on cars, the more money you make.

Gameplay revolves around designing increasingly ridiculous parking infrastructure, from simple roadside lots to giant multi-story parking complexes using flexible 3D construction tools.

At the same time, you’ll manage traffic flow, expanding demand, and hundreds of simulated citizens and vehicles moving around the city in real time.

There’s also a heavy satirical angle throughout the experience, especially when dealing with anti-car protesters while pushing propaganda campaigns to convince people they absolutely need more parking spaces in their lives.

The colorful isometric pixel-art style feels heavily inspired by classic 1990s management sims, which makes the partnership with MicroProse feel oddly perfect. You can definitely see traces of old-school tycoon games like Transport Tycoon in the presentation and overall vibe.

One of the more unexpected additions is direct vehicle control. Recent updates allow you to personally drive around the map, whether that means transporting passengers in a pink golf cart or awkwardly steering a leaking fuel truck through environmentally sensitive areas.

Right now, Car Park Capital still doesn’t have a release date but you can wishlist it on Steam.
