Capcom Thinks the Resident Evil Fanbase is Shambling and Decrepit

resident evil revelations ss 1

In a hilarious revelation by Capcom’s recent posting on their Investor Relations website, the developer claims that their current fanbase for the Resident Evil series is in their “late-30s to 40s”, and the age continues to rise apparently.

Capcom has cause to be concerned that eventually, some portion of these older gamers will “outgrow games altogether,” hence why they need to appeal to younger audiences. They’ve been doing a lot of thing to help achieve this, like doing collaborative works with fashion brands.

However, don’t let this make you think that Capcom is abandoning its older Resident Evil fans – they started a new exclusive fanclub last summer that allows for fans to directly communicate with developers, as they hold annual members-only parties.
