The remake of Resident Evil 4 is out now and as with many popular games, it has gained growing mod support.
It also helps that the game uses the same engine as previous Resident Evil remakes, so modders already have plenty of experience. However, it seems that not every mod is acceptable, particularly for developer Capcom.
The company has requested a modder remove their nude mod of character Ashley Graham from the game on the website Nexus Mods, as they state in another mod they created (NSFW).
While the website has been known to remove mods for various reasons, causing controversy in some cases, this one is particularly notable as the developers themselves asked for it to be removed.
It’s odd they would want a nude mod to be taken down specifically, when there are multiple sexualized mods that appear to exist without issue. The mod, and those of similar nature, are also available elsewhere – however due to the content will not be linked here.
Also as of this writing, the nude mod is actually still on Nexus Mods. It just has been “masked” and time will tell if Capcom will continue to pursue taking it down properly.
The remake of Resident Evil 4 is now available for Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can check out our review for it here – we found it to be a truly great game that honored the original’s legacy.
