Yoshinori Ono has long been a boss over at Capcom, serving as executive producer on the Street Fighter series, as well as a director at Capcom Vancouver, a studio who put out games like Dead Rising 3.
Now, he’s officially resigned from his position as director at studio Vancouver, news that he confirmed via his own personal twitter account:
“I resigned from the director position about Capcom Vancouver. Thanks good staff of Capcom Vancouver, and Dead Rising staff!”
Despite how sudden this announcement came, he did clarify it a bit, although his response wasn’t that enlightening:
“had [to] take some time” and “think over very carefully about next things.”
While this is no indication that Ono is leaving Capcom totally, his LinkedIn profile still lists him as a corporate officer at Capcom.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
