Capcom planning to release “major unannounced title’ before March 2024

Capcom

Capcom has seen a fair number of big name releases over the past year, most notably the Resident Evil 4 remake and Street Fighter 6.

While there have been other big launches, some good and some bad, it seems that the company isn’t done yet for their fiscal year.

In a Q&A published after their latest earnings call, Capcom revealed plans on launching a “major unannounced title” by the end of their fiscal year, which would put it before March 31, 2024.

Given that it is unannounced, no one knows what said title is. Whatever new game it is, it’s unlikely to be related to their big franchises in Resident Evil and Street Fighter as those saw releases earlier this year.

The same would go for Monster Hunter, which saw the release of a mobile game via Pokemon Go developer Niantic. So it’s possible this could be a new IP similar to the release of Exoprimal earlier this year.

Given the time period, the game will have to be announced soon ahead of its launch. As Capcom labels it as a major title, one can assume an announcement will happen during the Game Awards in December.
