Capcom Announces an Attack on Titan Arcade Game

[Editor’s note: it’s very, very likely that this is the “big” arcade announcement Capcom teased.]

According to Inside Games, Capcom has announced an Attack on Titan arcade game at the Japan Amusement Expo. You can see photos of the announcement below.

Attack on Titan is a popular property that began as a manga series in 2009, and got a light novel series in 2011, and eventually an anime adaptation in 2013. The story is set in a world where humans live in cities behind giant walls, as a defense against gargantuan humanoids who have a taste for human flesh.

This will not be the first Attack on Titan video game. Nitroplus has already developed four Attack on Titan visual novel adaptations. Spike Chunsoft also created Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind for the 3DS, which Atlus is involved in localizing for the West.

More information will be coming this summer. We’ll keep you updated.

This wouldn’t happen to be Capcom’s “titanic” announcement that they announced earlier, would it?
