Resident Evil Village sold over 5.7 million copies

Capcom announced Resident Evil Village sold over 5.7 million copies alongside other new sales figures updates shown in their Platinum Titles roster.

While Resident Evil Village sold over 5.7 million copies, the Resident Evil 2 remake sold over 9.3 million copies – among other new sales as of December 31st, 2021. Capcom’s Platinum Titles catalog includes their games that have sold over 1 million copies.


Previous sales figures update for Resident Evil Village were 5 million copies sold as of October 2021 – read more about that here in our previous report.

Key updates from the new sales figures include:

  • Resident Evil Village – cumulative 5.7 million (added 900,000)
  • Resident Evil 2 (remake) – cumulative 9.3 million (added 400,000)
  • Resident Evil 7: biohazard – cumulative 10.6 million (400,000 added)
  • Monster Hunter World – 17.8 million (300,000 added)
  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne – 8.8 million (300,000 added)
  • Resident Evil 3 (remake) – cumulative 4.9 million (300,000 added)
  • Monster Hunter Rise – cumulative 7.7 million (200,000 added)
  • Devil May Cry 5 – cumulative 4.8 million (100,000 added)
  • Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin – cumulative 1.4 million (added 100,000)
  • Street Fighter V – cumulative 6.1 million (added 100,000)
