Capcom has revealed that they’ve been working on a partnership with Twitch TV for a year round Street Fighter gaming league. This league will have premier events, ranking and online tournaments, all of which leading up to the grand finals which will be coming in December.
Street Fighter IV is the only game that will be used in the tournament, instead of all the variations and updated versions that have come out since its release. A total of 16 spots will be up for the taking, and there is a myriad of ways in which a player can qualify. You can instantly qualify if you win a premiere event, while the remaining spots are filled with those who win enough points from rankings throughout the tour.

- NorCal Regionals (April 18-20 – Sacramento, CA, USA)
- Southeast Asia Majors (June 20-22 – Singapore)

- Evolution Championship Series (July 11-13 – Las Vegas, NV, USA)
- The Fall Classic (October 10-12 – Raleigh, NC, USA)
- DreamHack Winter (November 27-30 – Jönköping, Sweden)
