One of the many constants in gaming is the yearly release of a Call of Duty title that is usually among the best sellers upon release.

This constant success hase made for an easy reason why Activision continues to push for new releases in the shooter franchise each year.

Activision president Rob Kostich revealed how they’re going about their plans for the franchise, including how far along they are with multiple games in development.

According to Kostich, the company has planned out the franchise through 2027 (via GamesBeat). It’s worth noting details on how far along the later projects, if they’ve gone past design and ideas, were not given.

Of course, it takes a lot of manpower to work on so many AAA games at once, especially when they have to hit the important deadlines given the yearly nature of the franchise.

He also said revealed there were about 3,000 developers over 10 studios now working on the games due to how labor-intensive it is to create big titles to meet player’s expectations.

Currently for the franchise, the newest upcoming entry is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is set to launch for PC (via Steam and Battle.net), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5 on November 10th.
