Call of Black Ops 6 – Zombies – Liberty Falls – Easter Egg Guide

Less than a month has passed since Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was released. During this time, Call of Duty Zombies fans have had the opportunity to enjoy and explore the two different zombie maps, Liberty Falls and Terminus. Before the game launched, Treyarch announced that the game’s Easter Eggs and Zombie story would be locked. Shortly after the launch, Treyarch and Activision enabled the various Easter Eggs and the Zombies story mission but left it up to the Zombies community to discover on their own.

Within days of its release, the Zombies’ community (MrRoflWaffles, NoahJ456, MrDalekJD, and others) was able to solve the steps for the Easter Egg. Since then, the Zombies community has been able to complete the different Easter Egg challenges and earn the different calling cards associated with the different maps. With the release of the Black Ops 6 Season 1 update, Treyarch has added a new Guided mode to give new and inexperienced players a chance to learn the steps of the Easter Egg within a controlled and scaled-back environment. In the Guided mode, the game will cap the rounds at certain points up to round 15 giving the player the chance to farm experience, points, and even camos.

Liberty Falls Easter Egg Guided Steps

Building the Thrustodyne M23 Wonder Weapon

Below, we are including the steps for the Liberty Falls Easter Egg as set by the guided mode. In Guided, the game does not calculate in the Wonderbar Gobblegum and still takes the players through the steps in order to craft the Thrustodyne M23 Wonder Weapon, Jet Gun.

The first task the game sets is for the player to open up the Liberty Falls map. As the map is opened the level cap rises. Once most of the map is mostly open, the game’s level will cap at 11 only spawning one Mangler, some vermin, and some zombies.

In order to start building the Thrustodyne M23 Wonder Weapon, go to the second floor of the Motor Lodge; upon stepping onto the walkway, zombies will come bursting out of a room at the end of the walkway. Kill those zombies and inside the room, you will see the shell of the Thrustodyne M23. In order to finish the weapon, you will need to collect three components: the Water Pressure Gauge, the Handbrake, and the Electrical Wires. Collecting the parts early on will make it easier to complete the Water Pressure Gauge step and get the easter egg started earlier.

In order to start the Water Pressure Gauge step, you will first need to head to E4 on the map and look for Lily’s Flowerpot store; once there, grab the Wheel handle from the valve. Once you have the handle, head over to the bowling alley, Fuller’s Liberty Lanes at E7, and melee the pressure gauge on the wall to open it up; if you are having a difficult time finding it, it is located close to the snack bar on the right-hand side. With the cover plate off, connect the valve handle to the pressure gauge. By connecting the handle to the gauge, zombies will start to spawn endlessly as you attempt the increase the water pressure. Continue to interact with the water pressure gauge until the bar is fully filled.

Note: Failure to interact with the pressure gauge for an extended time will cause the pressure to decrease and can cause the step to have to be restarted. The use of Cymbil monkeys or decoys can help protect while filling the gauge.

Once you successfully fill the Water Pressure gauge, the horde will stop spawning, and the round will return to normal. The Water Pressure Gauge will then burst out of the wall and drop on the ground for you or a teammate to collect. The next two steps can be time-consuming due to RNG game elements. The easier step to complete next is to collect the Handbrake.

In order to get the Handbrake, you will need to obtain the Toolshed Key; the Toolshed Key can only be found by killing the Groundskeeper Zombie in the Cemetery to the right of the Church. The Groundskeeper does have a special name, but will not always spawn immediately so one player will need to stay in the area. Once you have the Toolshed Key head to the small wooden toolshed in the Groundskeeper’s Yard located in zone D4.

Interact with the shed to open the door and inside will be the Handbrake on the table. With the Water Pressure Gauge and the Handbrake collected, you will now either need to wait for a Mangler to spawn or craft the Mangeler Cannon or the Mutant Injector. Manglers will typically not spawn until round 11 if you want to get the Electrical Wires, you will need to craft the Injector.

Note: In order to craft the Mangler Cannon you must be level 20 and have 1250 salvage; you must be Level 39 and have 2500 salvage available to craft a Mutant Injector. If you can not craft a Mangler Cannon or Mutant Injector, you will need to shoot the cannon off of the Mangler in order to be able to pick it up. Treyarch has updated the game to make it so that the Mangler will drop the Mangler Cannon if you shoot its arm off.

With either the Mangler Cannon or the Mutant Injector in hand, head down to the Radio House Electronics Super Store, located at H3. The Electronics store will be gated so you will need to blow it open with the Mangler Cannon. Once the gate is blasted open, you will need to search the trash piles on the ground until you find the Electrical Wires. There is no interact input on the piles, so press X or Square to interact. Be warned, some piles may hide a Zombie Spider, Salvage, or the Electrical Wires.

Once you have obtained the three components, go back to the second floor of the Motor Lodge and enter the hotel room. Once inside the room, interact with the Workbench and assemble the Thrustodyne M23. Be mindful of your surroundings and make sure to not get swarmed by zombies. Once it has been assembled, you or a teammate can pick it up.

Now that the Thrustodyne M23 Jet Gun has been crafted, you can move on to the Main Story Easter Egg steps. Head up to the Church and go through the Dark Aether Door. Once inside, you will the SDG Generator on the right-hand side. Interact with the SDG Generator to begin the Easter Egg; Panos will instruct the players that they need to gather the missing LTG components in order to turn on the SDG Generator.

Crafting the LTG Device

In order to craft the LTG device you will need to find its three components spread throughout the map. Lucky for you, those three components are all in a linear direction. The first component can be found in the church by Panos. Use the Thrustodyne M23 Jet Gun to suck in the component and then head to the next spot.

In order to get to the second component, you will need to leave the church and head towards the flower shop. About halfway down the hill before the Dark Aether Field Generator trap, you will need to climb up on the building on your right and head to the roof that holds the zipline. Look down from the building and spot a white van in the middle of the road. Jump onto the van and then turn around. In front of you will be an open window, use the Thrustodyne M23 Jet Gun once again while pointing at the window to suck in the second component.

Now that you have two of the components, go to the comic book shop, Olly’s Comics containing Quick Revive. Go behind the counter in the center of the store and look up at the broken ceiling. The third and final component will be in the hole.

Now that you have all three components, head to the Savings and Loans rooftop where all the zip lines meet; you will need to buy one of the four to get up there, but the cheapest one is 750 points.

The workbench is the opposite of the upgrade cabinet. While playing on Guided mode, the workbench will be to the left of Wonderfizz; on normal, Wonderfizz will not spawn until round 25. Now at the Workbench, craft the LTG (Limited Transdimensional Gateway) device. Once you have crafted the LTG, pick it up, and continue on to the next step.

Gathering Dark Aether Energy

With the LTG in the team’s inventory, you will need to head back to the church to grab a canister from the SDG Generator. When the player interacts with the Aether Canister, Panos will state that you need to charge it using the energy from a High-Value target. We recommend taking it down to the Dark Aether Field Generator trap close to Savings and Loan. Once you have placed the canister on one of the trap nodes, you can then head back to the Cemetery and place the LTG down where the purple Lightning is striking.

With the LTG placed, a timer will begin and it is up to you and your team to protect it while it gathers energy to open a rift to a High-Value Target (HVT). After protecting the LTG, A HVT will emerge; this HVT can be either a named Mangler or Abomination. You can tell which enemy is the HVT since its name will be marked red.

Now comes the tricky part, you will need to lower the HVT’s health without killing it; if you do accidentally kill it, just wait until the round ends and summon it again. Once the HVT is low, lure it over to the Aether Canister and turn on the Dark Aether Field Generator. If done right, the HVT will die in the Dark Aether Field trap and its energy will flow into the Aether Canister. Next, grab the canister and take it back to the church; the person who is holding the canister will not be able to run so either do it at the end of the round or have an escort.

Once back at the church, input the Aether Canister into the SDG before the timer runs out. After inserting the first canister, the Strauss Counter will come out of the SDG and Panos will explain that you need to use the Strauss Counter to get the last canister. Before you search for the final canister, head back into the cemetery and grab the LTG, you will need it again.

Projectors and Final Canister

To locate the final Aether Canister, you must use the Strauss Counter to find and activate three white-colored projectors located around Liberty Falls; these projectors can be turned on by simply interacting with them. The three projectors can be found in the Groundskeeper’s Yard, Hilltop Stairs, and the Yummy Freeze Rooftop.

In order to get each projector to work, you will need to align the projector’s top light to a coordinating Strauss Counter color; here is how each color affects the other:

Red Strauss Counter Screen = Green Projector Light
Green Strauss Counter Screen = Red Projector Light
Yellow Strauss Counter Screen = Yellow Projector Light

The first and easiest projector is located directly in front of the church. Head down the stairs near PHD Flopper and go over the concrete wall. On the right-hand side of the grass, you will find the first projector (D6).

Once the first projector has been calibrated head back up the stairs and go to the Groundskeeper’s Yard (D4); this projector will be across from the workbench.

Once you have tuned the second project, you will need to go to the Yummy Freeze Rooftop (G5). In order to get there, you will need to go back up to the Savings and Loans’ rooftop; on top of the roof, you will notice a barrier that can be removed for 750 points. Jump down onto the lower roof and interact with the final projector

Once all three have been turned to the correct frequency, three purple lights will shoot out and point to the final Aether Canister.

Now that all three projectors are activated, you will be able to grab the final canister by the Gas Station on East Main Street. Place the Cannister on one of the Dark Aether Field Generator nodes and head over to the Storm Portal on Riverside. Place the LTG in the Riverside storm and prepare to defend it again. Once you have successfully protected the LTG, a new HVT target will spawn; the HVT that spawns from this portal will be the opposite counterpart of the previous portal (Mangler 1st, Abomination 2nd, or vice versa).

Once the HVT has spawned, you will once again need to weaken it and lure it over to the Dark Aether Field Generator node by the Dark Aether Canister near the Gas Station on East Main Street. Once you have killed the HVT while the trap is on and the HVT energy has been absorbed by the Dark Aether Canister, you will need to take it up to the church.

Once you have brought the Dark Aether Canister to the church and inserted it into the SDG Generator, you will then get a prompt to go to the Final Encounter. At this point, you will need to decide if you have the proper gear to take on the final fight. On Guided Mode, the encounter will be easier, however, it can still provide a bit of a challenge.

Before you go to the final encounter, we recommend having a Mutant Injector, a self-revive kit, at least three perks (Juggernog, Quick Revive, and Speed Cola/PHD Flopper), tier 2 armor, a Pack-a-Punch level 2 gun, and any gobble gums you might want to use; additionally, make sure to have your field upgrade fully charged before entering the final fight. On Guided, Round 15 is the cap making it fairly easy to farm salvage and points.

Once you activate the final encounter sequence, you will be trapped in the church and must survive multiple waves of zombies and different types of HVTs. In the first round (phase), you will need to kill two HVT Manglers alongside waves of zombies. Once you have completed the first phase, a Max Armor will spawn; don’t worry about finding ammo since you can get ammo from an ammo crate or Pack-A-Punch your gun.

The Final Encounter

After a short intermission, the second phase will begin and you will need to kill another two Named HVT Manglers; these two named Manglers will be more difficult to kill.  Once you have killed them a MAX Ammo will appear.

Again, you will have a short intermission before the third and final phase begins. During this phase, you will need to kill two named Manglers once again but also take out a named Abomination. Your safest bet is to take out the two Manglers first then focus on the Abomination last. Using the Jetgun to clear hordes and the Mutant Injector to melee the Abomination will make the fight go quickly.

Once you have successfully killed the final three HVTs, an explosion (Nuke sound) will occur, and you’ll be downed before entering a cutscene with Panos.

During the cutscene, it’s revealed that Panos has tricked you into assisting him with his experiment and escape, and has siphoned your energy in order to escape. He will then leave you trapped in the Dark Aether and the game will come to an end if playing on Guided Mode. If playing on standard, you will have the choice to either continue or leave.
