Scottish indie loveletter to the iconic Mother series, Cairn: Maither’s Curse, is set to launch next month.
After 5 years of solo development, Ross McRitchie is ready to share his vision with the world of PC gamers on October 9th.
It’s also worth mentioning a playable demo is already available on Steam, so be sure to check it out.
Here’s the rundown and a trailer:
Cairn: Mathair’s Curse is a turn-based JRPG about a boy and his mother, in a story that explores love, loss and family. When a mysterious cult unleashes an ancient curse on their home, Alex and his friends must set out on an adventure – defeating quirky enemies, solving puzzles and meeting new friends along the way!
The fictional world of Albaness reflects growing up in the Scottish Highlands in the early 2000s, with plenty of Scottish humour woven into its characters and story.
