Earlier this month, we reported on an intriguing and yet spooky science fiction game titled simply Caffeine. In the game, you play as a young boy who mysteriously awakens in a seemingly abandoned space station that was primarily used for mining caffeine. Yes, in the future painted by this game, caffeine has become a precious commodity and must be mined, not grown.
While details are scant, the premise is genuinely scary and definitely the making of what could be an excellent survival horror game, i.e. leaving the player and protagonist powerless, fumbling around in the dark, and unaware of their surroundings or their near future, or if they’ll even make it out alive.
Now, the game is up on Indiegogo, and while sole creator Dylan Browne is asking for a whopping $80,000 dollars, regardless of whether or not the campaign is funded, he’ll continue working on it. Coming from this, Caffeine is a project that Dylan is very passionate about, evidence you can see in the teaser trailer shown above.
