Previously, we learned that C-Wars had gotten a new look, and a potential Xbox One exclusive release, during its console debut at this year’s ChinaJoy expo.

Now, we’ve gotten clarification of the game’s curious embrace of Xbox One, thanks to our friends at Gematsu. Project lead Loup Zhou confirmed that the game would be launching first on Xbox One, and that it would be exclusive on the platform in mainland China, for an undisclosed time.

Backers and fans of the game are pretty mad at this point, but he did point out that the Steam and Android versions are hopefully launching by the end of this year – however, the Vita and 3DS versions are still unconfirmed.

A Playstation 4 version is still a possibility, but only after the game launches worldwide – and for our readers in China, this would only come after the Xbox One exclusivity runs out.

Finally, the Xbox One moneyhats are only for mainland China, but the game is launching on that platform first and foremost.
