Bumper Update for Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker’s Japanese Launch

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker launched today in Japan. Happy gaming to our Japanese readers!

Atlus have release some more screenshots for the occasion, and we’ve collected them and the few bits and pieces of information from the past few weeks in the below post.

The game will be coming to North American 3DSs some time this Spring.


Triangulum Yamato Hotsuin

The video above shows Yamato Hatsuin (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) as he is during the Triangulum arc of Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker.

Durarara characters

Japanese players will be able to obtain Izaya Orihara, Shizuo Heiwajima, and Celty from Durarara as party members for a limited time through SpotPass. Each of the characters have unique skill sets.

The characters’ Japanese distribution schedules are as follows:

  • Izaya Orihara—January 29 at 0:00 to February 4 at 21:59;
  • Shizuo Heiwajima—February 5 at 0:00 to February 11 at 23:59; and
  • Headless Rider Celty—February 12 at 0:00 to February 18 at 23:59.

Streetpass functionality

With Devil Survivor 2, passing other players while having StreetPass enabled will register their information on your system, and increase a parameter of one of your demon allies.
