Brawlhalla Full Launch Set for October 17

Blue Mammoth Games has announced the full launch date for Brawlhalla, their free-to-play platform 2D fighting game.

The indie fighting game will launch for PC and PlayStation 4 on October 17th, following the game’s Early Access release that saw over seven million players. Featured above, you can view the game’s newly released cinematic launch trailer.

It’s worth pointing out that while the game is entirely free-to-play, if you get a little impatient you can pony up for the “All Legends Pack” on Steam or the “Founder’s Pack” on PlayStation 4, for $19.99. This nets you instant access to all of the playable characters, including future ones.

Blue Mammoth has a new corsair Legend character planned for an October 18th release. She has a new “cannon” weapon type, which the company notes is great for blasting or bludgeoning your foes.

Here’s a rundown on the game, via Blue Mammoth:

Brawlhalla: An eternal battle arena where the greatest warriors in history brawl to prove who’s the best that ever was, is, or will be. Every match is an epic test of skill, speed, and strength, and every victory brings additional glory and bragging rights to the winners.

These slugfests are salted with powerful weapons and gadgets. Fighters scramble to grab swords, axes, hammers, blasters, rocket lances and more! Every weapon changes your play style and your options. Gadgets like mines, bombs, and spiked spheres add even more danger into the mix, letting fighters change the course of battle with a well timed-throw or carefully laid trap.
