This game was recently released to a lot of hype and one of the more talked about things has been how hard it is to find the game. It’s seemingly sold out everywhere and if you were lucky enough to grab one of the collector’s editions, like myself, you were treated to a nice little package.
The first thing you will notice is that the whole thing comes in this very appealing box. I really like the way it uses the black and gray theme and the thing almost opens like a book revealing all the goodies inside.
Obviously you get the game itself. I have been playing this thing quite a bit over the past week and let me tell you that it’s an excellent addition to the 3DS library. However, if you don’t have blind faith in a basic statement like that, I will have a review up for this one very soon, so stay tuned for that.
Then you get the CD sampler soundtrack on which the CD features the same black and gray theme that this game seems to love so much. I always think it’s a shame when these collector’s edition only feature sampler soundtracks as I wish they would include the entire soundtrack, but hey, the music in the game is fantastic and whats on this CD is fantastic as well.
Another standard is the artbook. You see these things in just about every CE, and for good reason. Game art is awesome and the art for this particular game is beautiful. You get a nice mixture of full character art, chibi character art, backgrounds, etc.
And to top off the cornucopia of fun, you get this massive deck of 3DS AR cards. I’ve seen CE’s come with AR cards before, but nothing like this. I have personally never used the AR cards but each card also features various character artwork and the like, so they are still an awesome thing to have.
So there you have it. This is pretty standard as far as CE’s go, but for only 20 dollars more than the regular edition, it’s certainly worth picking up……….if you can find it.
